Best Way to Kill Ants
By Charles Pearson
Overview
According to Stanford researchers, ants cannot be prevented from entering a home. But there is a way to get ants to take a nasty chemical back to the hive where the ants are slowly poisoned. Boric acid powder is the best way to kill ants without hiring an exterminator. Boric acid is not harmful to humans and is toxic to ants if ingested. If put in a location where ants can reach it, boric acid can be a deadly surprise.
Step 1
Mix the boric acid with a fatty substance in one container.
Step 2
Mix the boric acid with a sugary substance.
Step 3
Put water in both containers.
Step 4
Try the sugary container first. Find the path that the ants are traveling and pour the bait all over.
Step 5
If Step 4 doesn't work, repeat this with the fatty substance. Some ants prefer sugary substances and some ants prefer fatty substances.
